May 2009 - Xpress celebrates its 5th birthday with the opening of our new premises in Central Oldham
Opening on the 10th May 2004 Xpress celebrated its 5th birthday in May 2009. Now established as a major supplier of industrial and driving labour in the local marketplace we have developed strong relationships with many client companies. We celebrated our 5th anniversary with the opening of our new premises in April 09 creating much needed space to expand over the following years. Our new four storey premises boast fantastic operational space and have allowed us to recruit an extra member of staff to provide payroll and administration support to our existing team. See photos of where it all happens!!
Xpress Solutions have teamed up with local rugby team Oldham Roughyeds to sponsor a player for the season. Neil Roden is a top try scorer for the League 1 outfit and after two stints at the club has made over 200 appearances. Xpress aim to partner the Roughyeds over next season with more sponsorship deals and utilise the hospitality facilities on offer.
January 2011 - Xpress gains Gangmasters License
Following an extensive audit of our practices and procedures, Xpress have now been awarded a Gangmasters License allowing us to trade within the food production and packaging sectors. It is our 2011 goal to develop our business levels in this field.
Having previously deciding to focus on manufacturing and distribution we were contacted by a prestigious local food producer prompting us to re-think our strategy.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Gangmaster (Licensing) Act 2004, it was set up to protect workers from abuse in agriculture, forestry, horticulture, shellfish gathering, food processing and packaging. It sets conditions that all labour providers supplying into these sectors must hold a current Gangmaster License.
